Innovation: Clean Energy

Mt. Everett Regional School has been recognized with a Massachusetts DESE Innovation Pathway designation in Clean Energy, creating exciting opportunities for students to explore careers in one of the fastest-growing industries. At the heart of this pathway is the school's Electric Vehicle Engineering class, where students design, build, and maintain small electric race cars that compete in local racing events. Through this hands-on program, students develop practical skills in electrical systems, battery technology, troubleshooting, and basic automotive maintenance while applying engineering and problem-solving concepts in a real-world setting. The Clean Energy Innovation Pathway prepares students with valuable technical knowledge and career-ready skills, helping them pursue future education and employment in the evolving clean energy and transportation sectors.
