Mount Everett's National Honor Society assisted the Sheffield Historical Society with their annual Winter Wonderland festivities
Mt. Everett students participated in Sheffield's 95th annual tree lighting over the weekend. Thank you to Margherita Lamanno for the photographs.
MT Everett XC wrapped the season with varsity letters and awards. Including Ben Vella and Kenzie Jo Lotz, outstanding runners and Sage Peppe, Kylie Jo Martin, and Tatum Oates most improved runners. Captains' awards went to Charles Vion and Maya Martin.

Michael Devoti, Maggy Sarnacki, and Emma Goewey were chosen to represent Mount Everett at the Western Mass Coaches Association All Star soccer games!
NMC Kindergarten went on a field trip to the Norman Rockwell Museum where they saw artwork from both Rockwell and Hilary Knight, who illustrated the Elouise books. They have been reading about museums and other works of art as part of the Geodes reading program!
Emily Steuernagle was named to the 2022 Girls All State Class E Team by the Western MA Soccer Coaches Association representing Mount Everett. Great job, Emily!
The UME/NMC Robotics Team, grades 3-5, is currently competing in the national Wonder League Robotics Competition (WLRC). Students are challenged to program their little blue robot, named Dash, through a series of challenges along a coordinate plane. This year’s theme is space, so many students have used Lego pieces to create a helmet for their robot. The team submits their code and a short video of their robot completing each challenge to a national judging committee. Submissions for all five challenges are due by January 27th. The team would like to thank the Eagle Fund and Plaskolite for sponsoring the program.
The teachers are once again champions of the S.A.D.D Volleyball tournament. Great job to all of the teams.
The Mount Everett National Honor Society hosted a Veteran's Day dinner on Friday at the Sheffield American Legion Hall.
Student-athletes representing Mount Everett attended the 28th Annual MIAA Sportsmanship Summit at Gillette Stadium today.

Congratulations to 10th grader Declan Piel, who was selected as the Mount Everett Outstanding Student Effort award winner for September/October!
Mrs. Sarnacki's First Responder class attended training in the use of Naloxone (Narcan) today, sponsored by Berkshire South Community Center, and Berkshire Harm reduction. Students received a kit that they can carry in their first aid kits.

Mt. Everett's Fall Festival production of William Shakespeare's "MACBETH" will be next week, November 10 at 7pm, as well as November 12 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are available at the door.
They will also be performing at Shakespeare and Company's Tina Packer Playhouse in Lenox on Saturday, November 19 at 8:30pm. Tickets for that performance are limited and are available at shakespeare.org
