This morning, Mount Everett students explored a wide array of career paths at our career fair. Students discovered numerous opportunities right here in our community.











Yesterday, students in Mr. Barrett's Hiking, Leadership, & the Environment course hiked seven miles of the Appalachian Trail. Their route took them through the "burn scar" of Great Barrington and concluded with a swim in Benedict Pond.








Last night's Family Math Night was a huge success, bringing together attendees of all ages from across our three schools! Families enjoyed engaging math games designed to boost mathematical understanding, and they even received materials to keep the fun going at home.
A huge thank you to all the families and teachers who helped make this event so wonderful!






Congratulations to SBRSD Special Olympics participants! Yesterday, our athletes earned a total of 23 medals: 8 gold, 8 silver, and 7 bronze. Well done, all!









Spring arrived in vibrant style at the Berkshire Botanical Garden on May 4th, 2025, thanks to the spirited Maypole dance by SBRSD's 4th and 5th graders! Their artistry and exuberance marked a delightful start to the season.


The Interact club and the Great Barrington Rotary joined forces this past Saturday, May 10th, at Mount Everett to cultivate the Pollinator garden. Their dedicated efforts have yielded fantastic results! We even have a mascot, Bob the horse! 😄
A huge thank you goes out to the Great Barrington Rotary and its members for their generous plant donations, enhancing the garden's beauty. We deeply appreciate their collaborative spirit and the wonderful teamwork with our Interact members. We eagerly anticipate the arrival of butterflies and bees!







Ms. Keeler’s 5th-grade book group was treated to a surprise Virtual Author visit with Rob Buyea, who wrote “The Perfect Score” and “Because of Mr. Terupt”




Fifth-grade science students built and tested sundials to deepen their understanding of the Sun and Earth's relationship.

To improve navigation in the non-fiction section, Digital Design & Marketing students have created library wayfinding signage. Their designs feature Dewey Decimal Classification posters and acrylic subject markers located within the stacks. Prototypes are available in the library, and final versions will incorporate coordinated colors and professional printing following further research.

The students in Early College Writing in the Humanities journeyed to New York City, where they experienced the acclaimed Broadway musical Hadestown and explored the impressive collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). This trip marked a series of firsts for some, including their inaugural visits to NYC and their first time attending a Broadway show and musical.






Grade five students use a solar bag to demonstrate how light energy can be converted to heat energy.








Budding botanists in Pre-K are digging into a fascinating "Growing and Changing" unit!
This unit explores the life cycle of plants and gardening. Activities included a sensory table, painting a "garden center" sign, imaginative play in the center with flower arranging and order forms, and learning flower anatomy through a cut-and-paste activity.








UME fifth grade spent the day enjoying nature at Eisner Camp.
Classes, led by Outdoor Classroom staff, included outdoor cooking, fishing, rocket building, and dissecting sharks.






Music students from Mount Everett are on a West Coast trip! After landing in LA, the band and choir members have already explored iconic spots like the Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood Boulevard, and the Grammy Museum. Today's exciting stop? Disneyland, where they'll participate in the Soundtrack Sessions Instrumental Workshop.
