Our curious crew of 5th graders journeyed back to colonial times on a field trip to the Sheffield Historical Society. Topics included cheese making, spinning wool, local genealogy, and blacksmithing.
During our School Committee meeting this week middle school student, Bailey Parmalee presented her Future Farmers of America (FFA) Club project! Bailey did a fantastic job talking about what the club is, the work that they do, and how they hope to expand the club in the future.

Undermountain K- 5 students ventured to April Hill in Egremont for a field trip. They learned about 🐝 pollinators, had a scavenger hunt and storytime in the barn, and planted seeds. 🌱

Last night, the Mount Everett Senior Awards Night illuminated the achievements of the graduating class of 2024. The seniors selected Nathan TenBroek to deliver the student welcome address, and Dr. Asha Von Ruden was chosen to deliver the faculty address. Congratulations to our soon-to-be graduates – your dedication and hard work were on full display during the awards ceremony! We can't wait to see you walk across the stage at Tanglewood on Saturday!

Congratulations to Allison Steuernagle for receiving the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents’ Award for Academic Excellence! The award was presented at the School Committee meeting on Thursday, May 23rd.
Our NMC Kindergarteners explored the possibilities beyond a box after reading "Not a Box." They then built these fantastic sculptures and identified the shapes they used.
Mount Everett held its final pep rally of the year this afternoon, sending off our seniors in style.

Meet Ruby – SBRSD's newest guest therapy dog! She is a 2-year-old poodle who finds time in her busy schedule to visit with students. Alongside her owner, Betsy, Ruby went through 8 weeks of training to become a therapy dog.
