As part as our commitment of teaching students a foreign language , we also teach them how useful it is to speak it. Spanish is not so foreign in the United States, it is definitely a useful tool.
The AP Spanish class went to New York City for a day! We visited Grand Central Station, walked the streets of New York City, took the Metro, watched a theater performance in Spanish, went to visit the Statue of Liberty, visited Ellis Island and the National Museum of Immigration, and ended our day in a Tapas restaurant.
What a great experience for the students to speak Spanish at all times and to realize how important it is in their lives!
Thank you to the Eagle and Janet Funds : "Cultural Discoveries" grant, our school, teachers and students who made this great experience possible!
In this new era of globalization, effective communication and cross-cultural understanding are key to success.
Our mission is to guide students in their exploration of foreign languages and cultures, thereby fostering curiosity, love, and respect for diversity and a deep understanding for the value of inclusivity.
