Gay/Straight Alliance

The Gay/Straight Alliance is a student-run organization at Mt. Everett High School that encourages respect and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered students, and celebrates diversity in our school and in the larger world.

While it is against the law in Massachusetts to discriminate against GLBT students in schools, legal protection alone is not enough to protect the rights of students on campus. The Gay/Straight Alliance works to foster understanding between diverse members of our student community, and to fight discrimination.
