 The New Marlborough Central School is a small public school within the larger Southern Berkshire Regional School District. Located in the village of Mill River, NMC serves students in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. Students come from the five towns within the school district—Alford, Egremont, Monterey, Sheffield, and New Marlborough—as well as other communities in the region through school choice. Bus transportation can be provided from many locations.
Built in 1932, our “little red brick schoolhouse” retains much of its old-fashioned charm, while also housing some of the most high tech equipment available in schools today. Because we are a small school, children and staff know each other well and develop a strong sense of community.
